The Australian Power Quality & Reliability Centre (APQRC) in the School of Electrical, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Wollongong has a strong national and international reputation for its high quality, industry relevant research in specific areas of electrical power engineering. We are Australia's longest running industry funded power engineering group, having existed for over 23 years.
APQRC is continually seeking high calibre electrical engineering graduates to work on Doctor of Philosophy and Masters (Research) projects in the general areas of:
Projects undertaken at the Centre will have a strong industry theme ensuring a high level of relevance and provision of real solutions to problems that exist in today's electrical power networks. The Centre has a modern, well equipped laboratory to support the experimental programs of our research.
Many of the research projects have financial support from competitive funding bodies, such as the Australian Research Council, as well as funding from industry for specific programs. APQRC supports high quality, domestic research students and scholarship supplementations may be available to high calibre candidates.
If you are a strong candidate with a first or upper second class honours degree, or you have a post-graduate qualification in electrical engineering with sound knowledge and experience in the area of electric power engineering, please forward your resume to:
