Biography
Neil Browne graduated from the University of NSW as a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering. Starting as a cadet in what is now Ausgrid, he has worked continuously in the electrical power industry in utilities, consulting and contracting firms. He has worked mostly in Australia but with a number of overseas assignments. He specialises in protection and control of generation, transmission and distribution systems, power system planning and power quality management. He now runs a consulting business in power system engineering. He is an Honorary Fellow of the University of Wollongong, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers and a Senior Member of IEEE.
