Resume

Saad M Sayeef graduated from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, with a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2002. He worked as an Electronics Design Engineer in the Product Development department of Fisher & Paykel Appliances Ltd, Auckland, New Zealand, from January 2002 till early 2004 after his graduation.

In 2004, he was awarded an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) and joined the University of New South Wales, Sydney, to pursue his PhD studies in the area of Electrical Drive Systems. He has recently submitted his PhD thesis titled Improved Flux and Torque Estimators for Application in Direct Torque Controlled IPM Synchronous Motors at Very Low Speed.

He joined the School of Electrical, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering at the University of Wollongong in February 2009 as an Associate Research Fellow to work on an ARC linkage project titled Hybrid Remote Area Power Systems with Hydrogen Energy Storage for Isolated and Regional Communities. He is also part of Integral Energy Power Quality and Reliability Centre at the University of Wollongong .
